• Before lighting your candle, snip off the black tip of the wick and trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch (0.6 cm). A long wick can cause the candle to burn too hot, leading to tunneling. 
• To prevent wax tunneling, burn the candle long enough until the wax has melted and pooled evenly across the entire surface. Try to burn your candle for a minimum of 1-2 hours, especially during the first few burns. Candles have a "memory burn" and the first few burns will determine the shape of future burns. 
• Place the candle on a safe, stable, flat, heat-resistant, fire-resistance surface. Keep away from the wall, foreign objects and flammables. 
• Do not burn the candle for longer than 4 hours at a time. Stop use when only ¼" of wax remains. 
• Do not leave unattended or within reach of children or pets.
